Scope

Strip out of existing dilapidated male and female WC’s and replace with newly constructed open plan WC’s with isolated cubicle systems.

This included structural upgrade works, all mechanical and electrical installations, cubicle installations and finishes. As part of the project we also reconfigured and refurbished the Reception area.

Issues

Once strip out works had been completed, we noted that the Structural Engineer’s design was incorrect.

Solutions

Temporary propping was installed. A new scheme was prepared by the Engineer, but this was challenged by us and alternative solution for design was progressed, which allowed for works to continue whilst steelwork being procured. The works were then completed during the six-week summer holiday break.
